Amway Review – Amway Business – Amway MLM Plan

Looking for a practical yet honest review of the Amway mlm business

opportunity? Well here is a thorough and detailed report about the
company, product line, compensation plan and recruiting strategies that
the company still uses. Here you will find the
good, bad and ugly of this
income vehicle.

The Good:

They were one of the first companies to pave the way of the work from
home based industry. They made it possible for people to earn income
from home instead of commuting to a job or traditional brick and mortar
business. They proved that money could be made by ordinary people.
They have had a huge success in business, sales and distributor
success stories. They will most likely be here for a very long time.

History:
Amway is known as one of the pioneers of the MLM industry. The
company was first established in 1959 by Jay Van Andel and Rich
DeVos. The founders were basically two friends that initially formed the
company to provide a better life for their families. The company is now
being run by their sons Steve Van Andel (Chairman) and Doug DeVos
(President). The company is located in Ada Michigan.

Amway Product Line:

Health and Nutrition:

Vitamins, minerals, water, energy drinks, cookware and air purifiers ETC.

Cosmetics and Beauty Supplies:
Skin care products, make up and anti aging products ETC.

Home Care Products:
All kinds of biodegradable cleaning products designed for home use.

Gifts and Accessories:
All types of jewellery and gift products for men and women that have a
price range for almost everyone.

The Bad:

How to Make Money:
How you make money with Amway is basically by purchasing products
from your up line at wholesale and selling them back to customers for a
suggested retail price. You basically have to stock pile products that are
on a monthly auto ship deal.  I personally do not like to stock pile
products. That is the company’s responsibility. When selling anything, all
you want to do is make the sales and let the company do the rest.

The Compensation Plan:
The comp plan is very confusing. I wouldn't even try to explain it because
that is something that may take a few hours. This can make an
opportunity hard to promote.

The Ugly:

Amway is basically old school marketing that is still lead by you guessed
it “old schoolers”. The approach that worked back in the good old days
like the fifties, sixties and seventies, don’t work as good today.

Most people look for an Internet marketing approach as a way to steer
as far away from trying to promote and sell to family members and
friends. We all know how negative they can be.

The main reason that any company wouldn’t change their marketing
strategies for new distributors is because what ever they are doing right
now is making enough sales for the company to keep them into a
lucrative profitable position. No more, no less.

However, this is good new for them but can be very bad or even ugly
news for new recruits in this day and age who don’t have enough skill
sets in sales or prospecting.

Conclusion:
Well I hope that this review will shed some light on this topic of the
Amway Business Opportunity. I like them but wouldn’t get involved with
them personally. That is my personal opinion. They have a business
plan that clearly works and I strongly believe that they are not going
anywhere. They have very strong foundations built by the original
founders. They most likely were very strong men with big hearts. They
had to be in order for their business to proper the way that it did.
However, 2nd generations don’t always keep up the same level of quality
or integrity that the first generation started from. If they did, then most
likely they would adapt to our times.
